In The Closet productions premier compilation CD “Wounded Soul” Vol.1 & Vol. 2 (written, co-written, arranged, partially performed, and co-produced by Ingrid D. Johnson) embodies, Johnson’s intimate musical and spoken word journey through romantic relationships, self-esteem issues, and struggles with fear & finding faith, as an over comer of childhood sexual abuse. It takes the soul of a survivor from a place of coping and just surviving to a place of overcoming.
This two year project fuses various genres of music, various upcoming Winnipeg vocalists and lyricists, and the production skills of seven talented producers from Winnipeg and Australia.
**A portion of the proceeds from each CD sale will be donated to The laurel center & I.N. Network.

Many of the songs released by In The Closet productions were written, composed, and produced in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Several co-producers on our projects includes Arun Chaturvedi, Darcy Ataman, Christian Devoin, Nick Gonzales, Mike “Khella” Arnone, and Gilles A. We have also worked with several Winnipeg singers and lyricists including; Papa Ev, Flo, Cher, Tara D. , Iesha Hutchinson, Anomalie, Heulwin Jones, NDU, Ismaila, Fenom, Joe Curtis, Arun Chaturvedi, Natalie Bell, Maiko Watson, and Ingrid D. Johnson.

FLO ( CD released in 2007 / 8 tracks co-owned by In The Closet Productions)
(Winnipeg Sun review) The album, a collabo between Flo and “a smorg of local writers“, is an assured, come-from-nowhere success, buoyed not only by the singer’s velvety alto, but also her willingness to wade into diverse musical tributaries like boho-jazz (”Tired” written by Ingrid D. Johnson), moody piano-pop (Who am I), and stirring neo-soul (There is Only You, the dead-sexy All Alone With You). Flo’s delivery is dripping with confidence, and since she wisely avoids vocal histrionics, comparisons to contemporaries like Alicia Keys, Angie Stone and Lauryn Hill are pretty much inevitable. But they’re also unnecessary. Flo’s vision and talent are hers alone, and the disc stands on its own.
